The weather cooperated and we were able to get seats on the upper deck of the boat to enjoy the beautiful views. Seats on the upper deck are taken up quickly as there are people who take the cruise but not the meal so if you want to sit outside after you eat you need to be vigilant. “We highly suggest this tour since it proved to be good value for money. We were a very small group of 7 people and traveled in a comfortable mini-van. Our driver and leader Peter was very nice and informative. He went out of the way by taking pictures of everyone at every stop. He also managed to take us to some locations which were not mentioned in the tour, yet he managed to stick to the tour time frame. “This is a wonderful tour for people who have half a day at hand and want to view the entire Wachau valley at a leisurely pace. Since this is tour from Melk to Krems and a return ticket, you can easily skip going to Krems and get down at Spitz or Duernsstein and visit the town's quickly and hop on the vessel that comes back (need to know the timing, etc.) The mobile voucher needs to be replaced with a printed ticket at the DSSG office next to the start point.
